Elizabeth Powell is an ICF-certified executive coach passionate about helping her clients reach new peaks of performance. She is also an award-winning leadership development trainer and facilitator.
As a coach, Liz partners with her clients toward their stated goals. She does not advise or counsel. Rather, she questions and offers observations to help leaders align their strengths and authenticity with their greatest impact.
As a workshop facilitator, her programs showcase her philosophy that leaders must lead themselves before they can lead others well. Liz’s expertise include how to create positive workplace culture that lasts, build trust in teams, embrace personal accountability, and expand capacity for success. She is certified in TTI Success Insights’ DISC, Driving Forces, Emotional Quotient, and TriMetrix HD assessments.
Elizabeth’s career began in international relations. She led programming at the Council on Foreign Relations after serving in the U.S. Navy. As a Surface Warfare Officer, she enjoyed playing an active role in foreign policy. In fast-paced and high-risk environments, she observed the best and worst of leadership qualities, impressing upon her the power of inspiration and empowerment over fear and control.
Elizabeth earned her Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. She received her masters degree in management and innovation from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and she received her bachelors degree from King University in French and History.
